Contents page
Within the contents page of a magazine the most obvious thing that you would expect to find would be the page numbers and the editors column. A variety of pictures would also need to be used, maybe a image of previous issues or forthcoming issues as well.
The contents needs to follow the theme of the magazine as-well.
Like a magazine such as Q they have a duty to the readers to make sure that the theme and rthe theme of the music is carried out through out the magazine. On the contents page above they have done this:
- Colour scheme has been followed
- They have included the descriptions of the pages beneath there page number and title
- They have many different pages included in the features section that they obviously want you to read
- The features section is there to show the main features that would be included in the magazine. when the magazine buyer has picked up the manuscript they are able to see what is in its contents, without having to go through the entire magazine
- Includes date and month of the issue
- Another section dedicated to reviews of other artists
Every month:
- Enables you find the pages for subscription
- May include contact details
- Games and puzzles for when they are on a long journey (if they are on a long journey)
- Mabey have a portion of the magazine dedicated to the headlining artist; the contents page will have its own section with information solely on that.
the images of the contents page tell the audience of its audience and who it appears to.
by looking at the main picture of the artists we can see that there signifying to the audience that they are probably and indie/ alternative rock band, they have the scraggy hair and uncombed looke teling that they are more rebellious than other artists. They also have a very selective Mise - en cscene
Sometimes contents pages have been seen to have a double age spread.
